FDA THREATENS TO BAN NAC.

⁉️WHY?

💊FDA declared NAC is not a legal dietary supplement. In 1963, NAC was approved as a drug and per the federal law, any substance approved as a drug before it was sold as a supplement cannot be sold as a supplement.

❓But why now?

🛡Maybe because NAC may protect the body from toxins (helps to detox heavy metals and support kidney/liver function).

🛡May because NAC supports the immune system.

🦠You see N-Acetyl-Cysteine is a precursor for Glutathione, the master antioxidant in the body. In one study, NAC supplementation restored nearly all natural killer cells (part of the immune system).

🛡Or maybe because NAC helps to relieve symptoms of respiratory conditions.

🫁NAC can act like an antioxidant and expectorant, loosening mucus in the airways. As an antioxidant, NC can support glutathione levels in the lung and reduce inflammation in the bronchial tubes and lung tissue.

🫁NAC supplementation has been used to support COPD symptoms and lung decline.

🫁One study showed that 600 mg of NAC (2x a day) significantly improved lung function symptoms of COPD.
